Description
Jay Vo Media currently recruiting a market manager for Ventura County. The process to become a manager in a new market is highly competitive and the selection process for management positions is very sacred to Jay Vo Media. As the manager for the Ventura County market, you would ultimately be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your market.
Jay Vo Media provides newsgathering services and investigative reporting to the valley of the sun by working with public safety officials and local affiliates. At Jay Vo Media, we believe in creating a new era for journalism.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the market;
- Locate, interview, and select talent for your market, whilst coordinating with corporate on contracts;
- Create a spreadsheet of sales/hits, and share it with corporate so payment may be dispersed;
- Meet with news directors and desks;
- Work with corporate on obtaining clientele contracts;
- Communicate with the newsdesk (dispatch);
- Monitor police and public safety radios;
- Respond to and film newsworthy incidents as it breaks to our standards;
- Edit and package content to our server to our standards;
- Develop a healthy, respectable, and trustworthy relationship with public information officers, patrol officers, firefighters, and other public safety officials in your assigned area;
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- 2 or more years in photography or photojournalism;
- 1 or more years of management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 or more years in photography or photojournalism;
- 3 or more years of management experience;
- Current Jay Vo Media photojournalist.
Education
- High school diploma/GED/or equivalent.
Experience
- 2 or more years in photography or photojournalism;
- 1 or more years of management experience.
